taking a short blog hiatus
I’ll be down in the South Bay doing work for ZURB and Mission Pie in a 24-hour marketing strategy and design event. Read more about the marathon, ZURB wired. Hopefully there will be some Mission Pie provided at the event.

A short and sweet event thrown by Terrorbird records in conjunction with Noisepop. The applestore hosted the event in the powell district of san francisco, where they provide an ample, bustling event space.

The three bands I heard and saw played small, complete sets in an intimate setting: most of the audience was sitting either in seats or on the floor. XLR8R provided dj entertainment and free magazines.

A photo from last year, taken on a photo shoot outing in the city. We had made our way to the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco where I saw this guy performing on the street. Taken using the coveted 85 mm f/1.4 lens, one I haven’t pulled out in quite some time. This photo is one of my favorites using a limited depth of field, although looking back, I could have definitely shot this with less DoF blur to catch more detail in this guy’s instrument.
